IETF 75 Daily Diary - DAY 5, Network Neutrality

I have attended SIDR (secure Inter-domain Routing) and TSV (transport Area WG) today and the details about the presentation and can be found:
http://tools.ietf.org/wg/sidr/agenda?item=agenda75.html
http://tools.ietf.org/wg/tsvwg/agenda?item=agenda75.html
For me the main attraction of the day was the Technical Plenary. IRTF and IAB chairs presented their Reports initially and then the stage was set for the debate on Network Neutrality.

The second one was “intarea” (internet Area Open Meeting) and the infor… Continue

One thing which I have realized is that major of the IETF working groups related work happens over the email lists rather than at in person meetings. So if any one w… Continue

Work Group Meetings

Today was my first experience with any of IETF Working Group Meeting. At one hand this session was much helpful for me to understand the happening on the Routing Area and on other it really helped me understanding that how the drafts are being formulated, discussed and given the status of Internet Drafts. These internet drafts eventually become the RFCs.

So its not really a very complex process, one can join any existing Working Area( through an email list) and… Continue
